A closer look at Rust & Barrel Restobar, The Heritage Kitchen restaurant and our open-air rooftop terrace — three very different moods, all under one roof at Hotel Lumière.
Down on the ground floor, Rust & Barrel turns the evening into an occasion. Raw concrete walls, herringbone wood flooring and a backlit wall of bottles set the mood the moment you walk in, while playful neon signage and street-art murals give the room its personality. Sink into velvet-upholstered seating at a marble-topped table, catch the match on the big screen, or pull up to the counter for a cocktail from a bar that keeps pouring around the clock — with a run of intimate, art-lined booths tucked just off to the side for a quieter round.
Warm wood, hand-carved lattice screens and soft lantern light set the tone at The Heritage Kitchen, our multi-cuisine restaurant serving North & South Indian, Chinese and vegetarian favourites through the day. Cane-backed chairs and low-hung pendant lighting make the main dining room just as easy for a working breakfast as for a relaxed dinner with family, while a handful of private booths and a stone-walled nook nearby — each finished with its own neon flourish — offer a quieter corner for celebrations and business dinners alike.
Above the kitchen, a run of timber pergolas and hanging rattan lights carries the restaurant out into the open air. Long communal tables and café seating make it just as easy to gather a large party as to settle in for breakfast with a view, with string lights and trailing greenery softening the space long after the sun goes down.
Toward the far end of the terrace, a quieter lounge area looks out over Erode's skyline, with its own seating nook and washroom facilities so an evening outdoors never has to move back inside. It's the spot regulars ask for — open-air, unhurried and well away from the street noise below.
